Ketchup Paint!

     The children explored painting with ketchup today!  We mixed blue paint into the red ketchup and made beautiful shades of purple, teal blue, and brown colors.  The children loved the consistency of the corn syrup in the ketchup and they began to fingerpaint making scribbles all over their papers.  Caleb decided to paint all around the ketchup maybe knowing they should be separate and ketchup is only to be eaten!  Maeson loves to splatter paint with his brush as his paint went flying across the room as he swatted his paper and friends!  What a great day exploring the science of mixing colors and using our pantry for some wonderful paint.  The possibilities are endless, let's raid the pantry!
