The "Itsy Bitsy Spider" Web Art

     We sang in tune today singing the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" song before we started our art project outside on our deck.  The children helped move our chairs into position for our web painting.  They stood on top of their chairs and began squeezing long strands of glue onto their papers creating their "webs" for our itsy bitsy spiders.  The children were able to get a lot of height from standing on their chairs creating a different perspective.  Then they shook madly sprinkling glitter over their webs!  Little spiders were added to their webs finishing our art project for today.  Eric Carle's "The Very Busy Spider" book will be read today adding to our theme of the day.
