Mad Scientist Potion Making

The children had fun today mixing different solutions together creating potions.  I gave the children baking soda, vinegar, sugar cubes, salt, sand, powdered tempera paint, soapy squeeze bottles, water spray bottles, and many bowls, spoons, and cups to make their creations.  Many bubbles started flowing over cups as they mixed their concoctions with the baking soda reacting with the vinegar.  Pretty hues of blue, red, and purples were mixed into their cups.  The children loved this activity today as they measured precisely and made their wonderful potions!
