Mudpie Outdoor Culinary Extravaganza!

The children fixed up a culinary delight today with dirt, sand, and water.  We used many pots and pans with different kitchen tools to make our concoctions.  The children mixed just the right amount of dirt, sand, and water to create their mud pies and stone soup!  They had fun using all the different kitchen tools to create their masterpieces.  Spencer had fun pinching his tongs into the dirt to move into his bowls.  Ben wore the tongs around his neck for awhile!  Scoops were use to mix the right amount of dirt.  Even Maya joined in on our feast as she helped pour dirt and sand into various bowls.  It sounded like a symphony as metal bowls and spoons clanked together.  Wyatt and Caleb stepped into some small bowls with their feet and skated around the deck.  Cade and Toben created little "sand castles" as they emptied the wet mass pressed into small bowls onto the deck.  Cedar, Avery, and Meadow explored dumping and filling the muddy water into all the bowls creating an array of wonderful soups!  Meadow and Cedar played peekaboo with each other between the slider door with many smiles! Everyone enjoyed our activity today.  Hooray for Mud!
