Beating Beet Prints!

     We had a smashing time today beating our beets to a pulp!  Beets went flying across the room and on friends faces as all the children smashed their beets with their blocks.  It was like a murder scene as magenta juice and pulp went splattering!  The children had fun smashing and collecting the pulp in their hands.  Some of the children drew pictures with their beets on their papers as the whole beets created a different writing medium.  Fabulous little molded creations were also made by blending paper and beet pulp together.  What a great day of exploratory play!
