Earth Clay Play!

     Today we had fun with our moist earth clay!  We added some water so the children could mix mud and feel the slippery texture of the clay.  Some of the children painted with their brown water on paper.  We had different tools that they could explore such as skewers, spoons, paintbrushes, and playdough tools.  They had fun making "earth worms" also, as they molded the moist clay and rolled it out.  Some other crazy inventions were made too using our skewers and clay.  Cade made some weights, as he put 2 pieces of clay on either end of his skewer and pretended it was a weight lifting it up and down!  Others soon followed making their weights too!  When we were done some of the children looked like indian warriors as the earth clay was smeared on their faces and body!  What a fun way to play with what mother nature has given us!
