Snow Sensory Science Play!

     Today we explored the properties of snow in our group activity today.  We mixed science, sensory, and art together for an exciting time!  The children watched how the snow reacted with paint when cold and how the colors turned our snow into a rainbow snow cone.  As we added hot water to our snow it changed the properties even more as the children mixed colors together more easily.  They made dug holes and poked and prodded the snow with their brushes.  We also watched how the snow became sloshy and smooth by adding water.  What a great day of exploration!
