Sponge Stomp!

The children had fun marching to the beat as they stomped across our paper with their sponge shoes on!  We created sponge stamp shoes made out of sponges and pipe cleaners.  The children loved stomping their feet into the different colored paint on our baking sheet pans.  Then they would run, stomp, hop, dance...across our long paper.  The children had fun working together as a group in this activity producing a beautiful work of sponge art on the paper.   Then the children decided to take off their "shoes" and squish their feet in the paint running and stomping across the paper.  Rainbow feet danced across the papers with smiles and giggles!  Sponges were used to clean the deck and feet as our activity came to an end.  Soap and water were brought out in our sensory bins as a whole new activity arose as clothes came off and went flying everywhere!  The fun began all over again as they washed their feet and bodies until all the paint disappeared.  What a fun group activity and sensory explosion for our feet today!
