Table Top Sandcastles!

     The children helped mix together our wonderful medium of sand playdough today.  We mixed together clean sand, cornstarch, flour, and water and began kneading our dough.  The consistency was soft, yet had the subtle grain of the sand.  The cornstarch made our dough very soft and pliable.  The dough was firm enough to play and sculpt with, but was soft enough to create a little slow ooze!  The children had fun kneading the dough into different shapes and bringing toys to the table to experiment.  They even tried moving their dough to their chairs where they were able to stomp on the soft dough with their bare feet!  What a fun way to play with dough!
