Lipstick Kisses

Our lipstick kisses were a great group activity.  The children gathered around a large mirror where they were given an assortment of lipsticks.  They got to work smearing the colored lipstick on their lips while looking at themselves in the mirror.  They were silent as they worked diligently on smearing the smooth lipstick on their lips and tried hard to keep within the boundaries of their mouth.  I taped a piece of paper onto the mirror for the children to “kiss”.  They smiled and giggled as they each took turns making kiss marks on the paper.  Layers of lipstick on and around their mouths made the children look like circus clowns!  They enjoyed this sensory activity and to have the chance to practice with the usual “forbidden lipstick!”.  Another fun day!
