Our sensory tub filled with flour and cornmeal became a mad scientists lab. Cornmeal and flour were precisely mixed and measured in containers and cups. The children became ghosts as their bodies and hair were dusted by flour. Flour and cornmeal was
spilled and dumped on the deck which became sensory play for our feet. We stomped, skated, and danced through the piles of mixed matter. Madden and Cade danced “the twist” from the 5o’s as they shook and twisted their hips back and forth. Some even tried tasting their perfect concoctions. This was a great sensory tub activity for the children as they felt the smooth flour and gritty cornmeal.
