Darkling Beetle Footprints!

     The children had a blast today observing our Darkling beetles make footprints through our red paint.  We observed how they walked and moved and got a real close-up view of our beetle friends.  We learned to feed our beetles we found in the forest apples and wheat bran to keep them healthy.  We have also been enjoying watching our beetles burrow in the dirt and crawl on top of each other and "hug"!  What a fun way to explore our world close-up!  I know with the amount of squeals and smiles our little ones enjoyed it too!
