Play Dough Mix-Up!

Our colored play dough was fun making for our activity "Play Dough Mix-Up."  The children helped measure and mix while we cooked a rainbow of different colors.  Each child was given a color that they requested. I told everyone to share with one another to make a rainbow.  The children took turns asking their friends for little bits of play dough which they immediately squished into their pile.  After a while the colors were really getting mixed up and looking like a rainbow.  We made snakes and intertwined the different colors.  The children made bracelets and little circles from the snakes which they turned into "Eye Spy" eyes.  A super hero mask was made and play dough snakes were displayed on faces making silly smiles!  The children worked very hard with little bits and pieces of dough to cover our tractor.  Overall, this activity was great!  We got cooking, worked on our communication skills while asking our friends for little bits of dough, worked on our fine motor skills rolling balls and snakes, and let our creativity be free!  Yeah for play dough!
