Simple Sign Language

The children had fun coloring images of the first letter in their name in sign language.  We tried this simplistic approach to learning some basic signing.  The children had fun trying to maneuver their fingers into the position to sign out their name.  We practiced every ones letters around the table.  Rylan had the hardest time trying to cross his fingers to sign out the letter R!  It was a good exercise to get our fingers moving in different ways!  Alexandra, Lyla, and Rylan helped Emilio color his paper and make all the fingernails a pretty pink!  They then proceded to color their hands leaving no skin tone.  Soon faces were decorated with an array of rainbow colors!
