Smelly Strawberry Watercolors
Our smelly watercolors were a sensory delight! I mixed pink liquid watercolor water with strawberry jello to make our medium. The paint smelled wonderful as the children first discovered. I drew the children's names with white crayon on their papers to make a hidden message for them to reveal as they painted their picture. The paint was a unique texture as it was slimy from the gelatin. This gave the children a different sensation as they painted their hands and face! Lyla couldn't get enough of painting her face over and over again! I think she enjoyed the sensory experience and the sweet smell of strawberry! Even Caleb was drawn in by the sweet smell and enjoyed painting with his friends! What a yummy day!
